Welcome to the Chicago Nomad Ski, Snowboard, And Social Club!

….. more than just a club!

The Chicago Nomads have had a strong presence in the Southwest suburbs for 60+ years as an active ski club. But “ski club” doesn’t really define the Nomads, and it hasn’t since its beginnings in 1961. Even its earliest members weren’t content to just ski together during the winter months, so a variety of social and year ‘round activities have always been part of the club’s profile. And that is the message the Nomads want to share with adults who are interested in meeting new people, trying different activities, or getting involved with a great organization…”we’re more than just a ski club.”

Interested in kayaking, bicycling, hiking, and golfing during warmer months? We do that. Enjoy Halloween scavenger hunts, Christmas parties, picnics and dances? So do we! Like to travel to places like Colorado, Nashville, Whitecap, Costa Rica, or Switzerland? That’s where we’re going.  Have kids you’d like to bring with you on a ski trip? We are family -friendly for many activities. Want to ski or snowboard with a fun group of people? That’s who we are!

Nomad President Heather Seger invites anyone interested in learning more about this diversified club to explore our website, find us on Meetup or Facebook  or visit us in person at our General Meetings held the second Thursday of each month at The Station Pub - 6657 South Street, Tinley Park IL at 7:00PM .  Drop in to see what the club is about and meet members and other guests with no obligation to do anything except enjoy yourself.
